After the last 3 albums (including the latest EP) i believe this band is moving to a more symphonic kind of prog.
So IMHO they should be now moved to the appropriate section (symphonic prog) which better describes their music.

I haven't got the EP yet, but The Underfall Yard was obviously symphonic to these ears, so I would agree with you. However, this is the wrong thread to make this suggestion. Help Us To Improve The Site would be a better placeBig smile

It's what they're best known for too, so that's a compelling case. Just like Genesis is here under Symphonic even though they released a lot of crossover albums after their 5 symphonic ones.

I agree that The Underfall Yard was 100% symphonic, but The Difference Machine and Far Skies Deep Time feature too many non-symph elements (mainly post-rock and eclectic) to justify reclassifying the whole band as Symphonic prog.  On the other hand, "Crossover" doesn't really seem all that appropriate for them either.  No vote at the moment.

I discovered Underfall Yard by way of this site and it's one of my favorite listens.  I need to get that EP.  I agree that symphonic is the right subgenre.
