I just stumbled onto these guys while searching for Youtube videos of their bassist - surprisingly enough, this band also includes the (IMO) amazing KIDO NATSUKI on guitar, Umezu Kazutoki on alto sax/clarinet, and Joe Trump on drums - seems like a good candidate for JR/F to me. I know nothing about the band other than the lineup so far, and that I like the songs I've listened to...I'll provide samples now:
Album info and further samples: http://www.squidco.com/miva/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=10839 Some info on the band can be found here, most of the way down the page: http://www.j-music.com/umezu/profile.html I'll alert the team. |

That's great stuff!
It reminds me a bit of Doctor Nerve.

As for Kazutoki Umezu, I cannot help remembering Kiyoshiro Imawano, a Japanese great R&R singer.
