Last week, John decided to step down from the Admin team - the combined workload of being an admin and an active member of the Jazz Rock/Fusion team became too big.

John did a great job as an admin and moderator over the past two years, and will continue to do so in the JR/F team. As such, he will keep his status of Special Collaborator.

The admin team would like to thank John for the work he did as part of our team.

I noticed he's a SC now a few days before. Thanks for everything you did as an Admin, John! Who should I write now for ProgReviewer promotions? Big smile

Thanks John for your hard work and dedication, especially on the spam and bogus reviews fronts.

That's correct. He removed his admin stripes himself after he resigned, but forgot to write a thank you note - which I corrected just now. WinkWinkWink

Hey, as long as he sticks around.  Sometimes you are up to being active and sometimes you just have to step back.  The money isn't really easy around here.  Last time I checked there isn't any.  Most of us participate for the fun of the music.
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

can't say Jody's decision was a surprise, and to be entirely truthful, I'm not really surprised John stepped down, despite his excellent work... I always thought that being a team specialist member and admin was a bit too heavy (unless you really have the hours to spare for both)
... anyway, thanks to both of them for the hard workSmile

but you raise an important point, I think it's important to have an admin in each of the three major time frame  (Europe, America and Far East) to ensure some 'round the clock presence on the site... This is why I had pressed for Trotsky to become Admin a few years back, unfortunately no-one stepped up from the far est time frame to replace him once he resigned.
