My earliest memories were listening to the music my parents liked in the late 50's and very early 60's.....Sinatra, Dean Martin, Doris Day, Elvis Presley, some big band stuff...etc. but my brother and I soon discovered early pop rock like Buddy Holly , Lou Christie, Petula Clark, Motown groups, Beatles, Stones, ...one of my earliest strong memories of pop was listening to The Tokens...The Lion Sleeps Tonight in 1961.

My earliest musical memories encompass that extraordinary compendium of televised entertainment, The Ed Sullivan Show. I remember clearly first seeing The Beatles in 1964 (as a 4 year-old). The song "I Want to Hold Your Hand" was the first pop song I could sing all the way through.
