SW did an interview with WNYC and debuted the song Postcard on air and provided an edit of Like Dust I Have Cleared From My Eye as a download.  You can check out the interview/performance as well as obtain the download here: http://www.wnyc.org/shows/soundcheck/2011/aug/16/studio-steven-wilson/

That was amazing! Thumbs Up
I look up, I'm almost blinded

by the warmth of what's inside me

and the taste that's in my soul,

but I'm dead inside as I stand alone...

Here is the quite intimate video for the stunning song "Track One" from Grace for Drowning.

Really looking forward to this!
Also, I think it will be refreshing to hear him with another drummer. Gavin is a fantastic drummer, and he works very well in PT, but if Steven wants to keep an original approach, this might be the way to do it. Mostly because Gavin has a very distinct sound, and you instantly think PT when it´s glued together with Steven´s vocals and guitars.

Sounds like he reconnected with the more improvisational approach of PT and IEM in the 90s, but at the same time it's different again.
Can't wait, could easily become one of my fav Wilson releases!

Another nice interview with Steven.

Quote They say that when you’re drowning, and after the struggling, there’s a period where you almost get into a state of calm.

I've heard that about hypothermia too, but I am pretty sure drowning is excruciating.
Quote If you listen to any music that’s been made under the name of Progressive Rock in the last 30 years, it’s conspicuous by one thing: the complete absence of the jazz influences.

NOPE
Quote Not to sound too obsessed with Porcupine Tree, but I actually wrote a term paper in college on the serial killer idea within In Absentia.

*facepalm*
Quote I never heard of ADD until about ten years ago; it certainly didn’t exist when I was a kid. Back then, it was just that your kid was out of control. Now, it’s very easy for parents to go to the doctor and for kids to be labeled with ADD and to be prescribed pills.

XBOX IS A GOD TO ME

1. Basically he know people who have survived drowning.
2. Basically he has never heard prog in the last 30 years.
3. Same reaction as HP
4. Though I agree ADD is over-diagnosed these days, this just sounds too generic, cliche.
5. I prefer nintendo.

His next album will probably put me to sleep like Insurgentes did. Where is the Steven Wilson of In Absentia or Deadwing? Where?

By the way that "jazz drummers solo all the time" thing is priceless...
