From The flower kings I recommend you Unfold the future. Also from Marillion buy the Fish-era albums.
Mikael Akerfeldt for fans of Opeth who don't like his growls (and generally the growls): If they don't like it then they are pussies.

If you like jazzy symphonic prog, get Unfold the Future, in my opinion The Flower Kings best album. Also, Paradox Hotel and Flower Power are must-haves.

By Spock's Beard you should definitely get Snow.

You should get some The Tangent as well,  not directly linked to Transatlantic, but it has Roine Stolt on the first two albums. The Tangent are by far more jazzier and Canterburish, but still symphonic driven. Get The World that We Drive Through.

Also, why not any Marillion? They're different from the other bands, but still have some great stuff in my opinion. Script for a Jester's Tear is an album every prog fan should own, not because it's the greatest prog album, but because it shows the 80s symph-influenced prog at full force, with great lyrics and vocals. Of course, if you don't like the 80s production with much synths...

Hope that helps.

yknow i forgot i got a bunch of recommendations at the TFK thread, and they all told me UTF. haha

Snow is the one ive been thinking about, mostly because from what ive heard it's similar to Neal's solo stuff, and im a big fan of those albums. Is Kindness of Strangers the other popular one by SB?

Speaking of Neal Morse, the only other prog album of his is Lifeline? how is it?

I'll look into The Tangent (another band ive heard of since i joined this site, but never checked out. Ohhh there's so many bands out there Confused

Funny thing about Marillion, i had the chance to get an album of theirs recently. It was between Marillion - Misplaced Childhood, or IQ - Frequency. I went with IQ. I mostly bought it because it was released in 2009, and another thing im trying to do is have everything from 2009 (for many reasons...)

Definitely get Snow. Kindness of Strangers is also good, but I prefer Beware of Darkness.

You already have my two favorite TFK albums, The Sum of no Evil and Space Revolver, but I warmly recommend you to get Paradox Hotel. Back in the World of Adventures is also a very good choice. Unfold the Future seems to be generally their most popular album, but I personally like many other TFK albums more. It's a good album, but in my opinion also contains more filler than most other TFK albums.

I second the The Tangent recommendation. If you like Transatlantic, Spock's Beard and The Flower Kings, the odds are you'll like The Tangent. Not as Good as the Book is actually one of my all-time favourite albums, mostly because of  the magnificent second disc.

The Tangent's very related to many of those bands you just mentioned. I would recommend their album "Down and Out in Paris and London".

All Spock's Beard's albums up to Snow should appeal to you. The Kindness of Strangers is often a bit underrated but it's maybe my favourite next to Snow, just in between all the styles they touched upon, not so derivative as the first albums and more inspired than the later ones. Very original and great stuff.
You have the best Neal's solo albums already, Lifeline is worth for its amazing title track but for the rest is much weaker than One, ? or Sola Scriptura.

Roine is in quite a few bands. Check out his solo albums, Agents of Mercy, The Tangent (first two albums), and Kaipa.

Can't see any mention of Karmakanic yet - Wheel of Life and Who's the Boss in the Factory are both excellent.

Spock's Beard- X (SB's finest album after Neil Morse's departure)

Kaipa- Inget Nytt Under Solen (an absolutely forgotten classic)

Flower Kings- Back In The World Of Adventures and Adam & Eve (if only for "Love Supreme", which may be my favorite FK composition). Then all the others as well.

Marillion- All Fish albums and Brave from the H era

From The Tangent I own The World That We Drive Through and Not As Good As The Book. They are both pretty good, but if I had to recommend one, I'd go with The World That We Drive Through.

Agents Of Mercy- I own The Fading Ghosts Of Twilight, but I personally wouldn't recommend it.

Spock's Beard - The Light, V You already have their best. Try a Morse-less album like Octane or the last one. And try Beware of Darkness.

i have no Marillion All Fish albums and Brave. Enough said.

i want to continue my SB and TFK collections, so which albums should i get next? Plus, try The Tangent's 2009 gem.

I'll second Teo's The Rainmaker for TFK. My personal favorite, with Unfold The Future (which is also needed) close behind. However, those are really the only two I enjoy by them.

Marillion's been said before. All the Fish era albums. I'd recommend Marbles from H era if you wanted something from there as well. I'd say Script, Fugazi, Clutching, Misplaced, Marbles for an order.

For Spock's Beard...all the Neal era albums are great except for Day For Night, which is easily the weakest Neal album IMO. Of the newer ones...hard to recommend because they all have their moments. I'd say the self titled or Octane of the newest batch. But Kindness For Strangers and Beware Of Darkness are both strongly recommended. Oh, and Snow too.

Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

Updated. Updates are in blue

Transatlantic
- everything

Dream Theater - everything

Neal Morse - Testimony, One, ?, Sola Scriptura, Lifeline

The Flower Kings - Stardust We Are, Space Revolver, The Sum of No Evil, Unfold the Future

Spock's Beard - The Light, V, The Kindness of Strangers

i have no Marillion

I want to get Flower Power by TFK, or Snow by SB next. Both are double albums. Dont know which one to get. The Tangent has been peaking my interest for some time, especially after looking at the different lineups on their albums.

Snow is good - but Beware of Darkness was always a favorite of mine.

After Fish era Marillion I would recommend Marbles - it's a fantastic album.

for The Tangent definitely pick up Not As Good As The Book and The World That We Drive Through.

"i have no Marillion."

You should remedy that right away.

Start with Misplaced Childhood and Seasons End.

Also, Roine's solo discography is amazing, and very different from what he does with TFK.

I liked Marbles and Misplaced Chilhood from Marillion.
I also double the numerous Unfold the Future recommendation.
Spock's Beard's latest album, X, is good, but no Neal Morse. Snow is also quite nice.
If you want to go really far, you could look for DT side projects like Liquid Tension Experiment, Platypus, John Petrucci, Jordan Rudess, James LaBrie, Planet X, OSI, Derek Shernian, etc.
