I'm crying because I can't make it!  This Monday, 2/28, at BB King's in NYC, Neal Morse and Mike Portnoy are fronting a Beatles cover band!  If anyone here ends up going, please review it!  (In as much detail as possible!)

I'll chalk up Dawgs conversation to the fact that Morse and Portnoy covering the Beatles seems un-interesting...nobody wanted to converse about it, or spend the time to go look for an answer for the Dawg's question

Well, Transatlantic's live albums (which, of course, include Morse and Portnoy) include quite a few Beatle covers, so this is not exactly "odd."  LOL.  I just had no idea they were coming to NYC, and I have a 7pm mtg I cannot get out of on Monday!  Drat!!

I really wanted to hear Transatlantic's cover of "And I Love Her" from the limited edition of Bridge Across Forever. But I can't find the song on Youtube, and the limited edition of that album seems to be rather difficult to find any more.

You could get their first album if you already haven't and now maybe this will also be recorded. Maybe there will even be a DVD

Its not really worth checking out, its more of a jazzy jam session than a legit Beatles cover, it also incorporates brief reggae and country western versions..Confused

I was at the show Friday in Long Beach and it was very fun.  It is so cool to see and hear guys as talented as this give props to a band that arguably were one of the main influences on prog rock.  Mike in full Ringo costume was pretty funny also.  On Hide your Love Away he decided to sit on the floor in front of the stage and tap his tambourine on the 1 beats like Ringo did in the movies. Oh that was right in front of me in the front row.  The whole thing was video taped for a hopefully future DVD.  Had a great time.

"What are you going to do when that damn thing rusts?"
