Do Spocks Beard/Morse list Echolyn as influenes?

I'm no expert on Spocks Beard or Neal Morse but lately i've noticed that there is a similarity in sound between them and Echolyn, although i've only listened to Mei which is a later album has anybody ever heard of Neal Morse mentioning them as an influence?

I've only got Mei, and I don't really hear too much similarity there myself. Maybe someone else with a better knowledge of both bands will be able to comment better.

i would say that both bands are strongly imfluenced by gemtle giant .both great bands Thumbs Up
