T.R.A.M. is a new musical project featuring Tosin Abasi and Javier Reyes of Animals as Leaders on guitars, Adrian Terrazas of The Mars Volta on clarinet, sax, flute, and percussion, and Eric Moore of Suicidal Tendencies on drums.

It was announced today on Facebook that they have been signed to Sumerian Records and will be releasing their debut album, Lingua Franca, this coming May.  No music has been posted yet but keep tuned to Animals as Leaders, Sumerian Records and T.R.A.M. on Facebook for updates.

This sounds like a musical eargasm in the making to me.  I am BEYOND STOKED.

You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

This indeed sounds quite nice. I'll definitely be investigating when released.
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive

I'm psyched because of this. It means that this will be more than just tech metal. Tosin is better at playing jazzy stuff anyway.

Hearing Animals as Leaders referred to as "just tech metal" = I am SEETHING MAD. AngryAngryAngry

Anyways, update: T.R.A.M. played their first show tonight in Austin at SXSW, here's some footage I've found of it, since no songs have actually been posted yet:

Sound quality is poor but it's all we've got so far.  Sounds SUPER promising Big smile

AAL is more than tech metal. What I was trying to say is: This project seems like it will shed tech metal, which is a good  thing.

It'll be a different thing for sure, I'm expecting some technicality and I don't totally know if I'll like this better than AAL, but regardless it should still be pretty sick.
