Aurora Borealis is a death metal band in the Atheist mould of metal with a really complicated, techie sound. They have released numerous albums and I both reviewed them and interviewed them for my ex fanzine News From The Infested Graveyard thirteen years ago. They are veterans, in other words. Their new album is a free download and they also have numerous older songs on Youtube. See here |

We'll add this band to our list Torodd, I take it you could provide a bio if we would clear them? Is the latest album the most Prog or would you rather recommend an earlier album. |

I have dropped off their planet for the last ten years, I have to admit. But the reviews I have read so far claims the last album is very progressive and techie. So that is a good starting point. I have their first two album locked away in the (wine)cellar in my cave. I will dig them out again.

Torodd,
They remind me of Nile and Melechesh, both rejected in the past. I don't hear those jazzy elements that earned Atheist a spot on PA. Anyway, I've added them on our charts but I'll probably vote No. You're welcome to suggest the album that could change my mind. Edited by Bonnek - March 18 2011 at 11:57 |
