Danbo does it again - apparently the opening guitar riff of the Pistols first indie single  was Spedding - SP's weren't up to it. Then Speeding the rocker (Sharks), the jazzer (Nucleus) became a punk.....Come Into My Pagoda....etc. and now a hire gun recently touring in Roxy Music
