From the band's Facebook page:

"Playing improvised live and loud. We "jam" sure but we're not a typical "jam band". We're more into the heavy stuff than say "The Dead". All respects though. Hail hail rock n roll. Long live The Melvins & The Jesus Lizard. BOOM!
All 5 records can be found on I-tunes and through NAIL distribution. Except the 2nd (Emperor Jones) Vinyl only and out of print."

Discography:

* The November Session (2003)
* Tia Carrera (2006)
* Heaven/Hell (2007)
* You are the War (Single) (2008)
* The Quintessential (2009)
* Cosmic Priestess (2011)

Band Members:

Erik Conn - drums
Jamey R. Simms - bass/guitar
Jason Morales - guitar/bass

Here's a better bio:

Quote Somewhere in Austin a clock has stopped. A calendar page, never changed, hangs on the wall of a machine shop or a dingy dive bar. Slightly yellowed by the years an exotic woman dressed in her most patriotic bikini holds a Shiner and proclaims to all the world Happy New Year: It's 1970!

For over a decade now, Tia Carrera have been kicking ass and melting minds with their own twist on the 70's rock n roll jam. Founding members, Erik Conn and Jason Morales along with now permanent member Jamey Simms have taken their music to a new level both live and in the studio. Simms and Morales switch instruments seamlessly (occasionally mid-jam) while Conn whales on, taking the listener on a wild, mind altering ride.

The mind altering ride continues with the release of Cosmic Priestess, their fourth overall and second for Small Stone. Cosmic Princess accentuates the elements that Tia Carrera have been honing to razor sharp perfection, bringing to the music new depths and lengths. Whether you're strapped to a chassis of a Texas hot rod in "Slave Cylinder", exploring the colorful world of a coral reef in "Sand, Stone and Pearl" or just dumbstruck as you barrel your way through the nearly 33 minute opus "Saturn Missile Battery", Tia Carrera's improvisational scores always amaze and never disappoint. Look for them on tour this fall, that's probably them in the van with the "Ass, Grass or Cash. Nobody rides for free" bumper sticker. Viva 1970! Viva Tia Carrera!

Very heavy stoner rock, progressive enough to stand a chance for evaluation (IMO). I'll notify the Space/Psych team.

'Cosmic Priestess' contains interesting conventional heavy rock jams with psych/stoner flavour, I hear influences from Black Sabbath, Cream, Jimi Hendrix
missing prog substance, experimental approach - my 2 cents so far - the team will take time to discuss this of course

Stoner jam for my ears ... but can we call them progressive rock? Stoner ... YES, progressive ... not enough, but my love definitely.

And the other Psych / Space Team members have voted for them, and they can be cleared for inclusion in PA. Clap

Well, in my opinion their open jams escape from conventional stoner rock thematics to progressive impressionism - a vague and unclear concept to which I allow everybody to form their own perspection and honor it, expecting the same for me.
In my opinion a really great band, thank you for voicing it out Smile

Thus, where do we stand with submitting this very band to the archive? :)

Do you think would you be able & willing to write a biography of this band? Smile
You would get the credits for the essay.
The album list on your first post also helps with the discography inclusion.

If you would be able to help with this, please PM me, Rivertree or Damo.
