This one is more difficult than the Wish you Were Here poll. Both albums are pretty close to me... the main song from both albums is the epic track, and I find it difficult to choose between both songs. The rest of both albums have some really good songs and some I don't like so much. Though Foxtrot doesn't have such stinkers as Seamus and San Tropez. But on the other hand, the song I like best apart from the Epics on both albums is One of These Days... so in the end the even up a bit. I guess I'll go with Meddle, not my favourite Floyd album, but in the end my love for Floyd is greater than my love for Genesis.

I'll vote for Foxtrot because Supper's Ready does a bit more for me than Echoes, it's close though both very strong albums with masterpieces on Side 2
These albums actually go really well together , both have bombastic openers and experiment a bit with styles for the rest of Side 1 as well as having epics on side 2. Might have to listen to both later in fact |
Here here!! I think that is the entitere purpose! Listen to the music! If we only talk about the music and use our preconceived recolection of how you remember it. Listen! Cheers to you Topographic Broadways!

Well well. What is interesting here is how rarely if at all that "Supper's Ready" was mentioned by name. Yes, I realize everyone knows it but "Echoes" was mentioned plenty. Foxtrot leading this poll and as I predict will lead the next 2 as well after losing the 1st 2 to The Floyd Boys. I love Seamus and San Tropez. I wouldn't change a damned thing about Meddle. What a marvelous album. Fearless and A Pillowof Winds. Wow. But Time Table and the whole Foxtrot captures you (as does Meddle) . Yes not an easy poll.
Being as unbiased as possible I choose FOXTROT!

They're both amazing albums, but I'd go with Meddle, which has more emotional pull for me than my favorite Genesis album. Echoes and Fearless are two of my absolute favorites.

Indeed no contest:
Though to be sincere, yes there is a lot of contest. Meddle is (or was?) probably one of my all-time fave albums, while Foxtrot is an unbelieavable piece of work with outstanding songs and an amazing epic.
No vote.

Meddle is a great album. However Foxtrot trumps Nursery Cryme which Nursery Cryme didn't manage to do with Trespass. Hackett and Collins are showing their talents which peak in the SEBTP album. Slightly give this one to Foxtrot.

My main love goes to Meddle in this poll, although I absolutely hate San Tropez. I do like Foxtrot a great deal though.
