I'd love to vote for both if I could, but Foxtrot has just a bit more credits. Floyd's #3 vs. Genesis' #1 in my list.

Two great albums but Foxtrot is one of the ten best ever, Meddle a bit below that.

Listing the 12 tracks in order I get the following:

Supper's Ready
Echoes
One of These Days
Time Table
Watcher of the Skies
Fearless
Get em Out By Friday
Can Utility
Pillow of Winds
Horizons
St Tropez
Seamus

Meddle: Extraordinary album, one of my Pink Floyd´s favourites, with mystical mood and strange tense. Echoes is certain masterpiece and being an etalon for another epics. Minus one star for quite useless and rather annoying "dog blues" Seamus.
****

Foxtrot: In my opinion one of most overrated Prog albums, which lacks freshness, imaginativeness but genial simplicity of their previous work. Last piece, perhaps the most adorated "Epic" on whole Prog World, is just materialized boredom for me, sorry.  At all cost, still tolerable album, compared with later Collins-sung really shameful ones.

Meddle. But still quite the opposite of Gandalff. I enjoy all of it including Seamus, and only really love the B-side of Foxtrot.

Foxtrot by just a little over Meddle. Both are terrific.

Don't quite get why everyone loves Foxtrot really. The best track for me is Horizons, but Meddle is great (mostly because of Echoes)

Not my favourite albums ever.

While Meddle is a very good collection of Pink Floyd's "golden age" music, I must say that Foxtrot is the better one of these two.
In my opinion Foxtrot is just second to Nursery Cryme in Genesis diskography.

So, I gave my vote to Foxtrot of these two masterpieces.

Meddle.

One of my favorite albums ever. Foxtrot's side A is probably a bit better, but Meddle has ECHOES, and that's enough for me, although Supper's Ready is awesome too.
I shook my head and smiled a whisper knowing all about the place

Meddle isn't very good, unlike Foxtrot.

Foxtrot is one of the best Genesis albums. Meddle is not in the first place between PF albums. Except Echoes, the rest not appeal too much for me. So Foxtrot is my choice.
