Only two of SEBtP's songs are great to me. Dancing and Cinema. I Know What I Like isn't bad, but it's nothing special. Firth of Fifth is boring, although the intro is pretty great. More Fool Me is just awful. Battle of Epping Forest sounds like someone took all the average parts of a good album and glued them together rather poorly. After the Ordeal is just a filler which fails to contribute to the album at all (unlike the Dark Side fillers). And Aisle of Plenty is just an outro.

I see you are disgruntled. I disagree with nearly everything you said except about Cinema.
seems as though this poll will be the decider of better 5 album, Floyd or Genesis. The others went 2-2.

108 votes. Is that it? Did Floyd overtake Genesis for the best string of 5 albums?
Animals 56 over Trespass 29
Foxtrot 59 over Meddle 45
Wish 51 over Nursery 39
Lamb 52 over Wall 35
Genesis 179
Floyd 187
total votes not including THIS poll. Very close

SEBTP, by far. DSOTM is not even prog rock |
Are you insane? Genesis is boring anyways. DSOTM may be the ultimate prog rock album, it has everything you want in an album. Except crazy time sig stuff which isnt important, its all about the chords..and pink floyd uses some of the most amazing jazz influenced chords ive ever heard. SEBTP doesnt move me at all, its bland.

Very few albums could beat SEBTP. Dark Side, however, is one of them.

There is no dark side in the moon, really... Matter of fact, it's all dark...

Not fair, not in the same league, one’s very good and the
other is excellent.

We both come from Foztrot, but i was true to myself and actually voted for it - you're a trader.
