Bands similar to Harmonium

So, Harmonium's "Si on avait" etc. (not good with French ) is currently one of my favourite prog albums, I'm absolutely in love with this fantastic album. 

The problem is I want more but can't think of any similar bands. Of course their other albums seem a logical direction to go next, but what other similar bands would you recommend or quite simply, are there any?

	In progressive rock there's nothing I know that is similar to this Harmonium (especially Histoires Sans Paroles, wich is out of this world), but I can recommend you stuff with pretty similar ambiances like David Arkenstone (Return of the Guardians), Gandalf (Invisible Power, Gallery of Dreams (featuring Steve Hackett :p), To Another Horizon, Tales From a forgotten Kingdom) or early Mike Oldfield (Ommadawn, Hergest Ridge)

	2 albums that in a way sounds somewhat alike : 1. Clearlight symphony (check Clearlight here in PA). 2. Winter consort - self titled The second is not in PA (shame on us) and it's instrumental and also very hard to find but if you can hear it better give it a try.

	Well that is a bit of a pickle.... I was wondering the exact same thing when I first got into Harmonium. The bands I think of however are either in the folk genre or Kraut, which is rather strange, but perhaps a damn fine indicator that true art in music transcends genres and boxes. Small rant I know I hear a bit of Harmonium in a Kraut/heavy prog outfit from the UK called Janus, who actually was based in Germany and drew a lot of inspiration from that scene. Their first record contains a 20 min floating song with mellotron, soft hand drums and beautiful acoustic guitars accompanying some ethereal layered vocals. The first side of the record sounds much closer to Black Sabbath, so it is quite the unusual album. Then I thought of an Italian folk outfit called Aktuala, which is weird seeing as they are a bit more on the experimental side of things. Still reminds me a bit of H. Pererin, another folk band - from the UK this time, plays a unique blend of Celtic/Welsh influenced laid back, relax put your feet up, drink coffee and look at sea gulls music, which also reminds me of those Canadian frenchies. But then again, I don´t think any other band I know of - Really sounds like Harmonium - so you should definitely take my recommendations with a grain of salt. 	Thanks guys, I'll have to check some of those out, but these replies seem to reinforce my earlier thought that quite similar bands just don't exist. Maybe that is also one of the things that makes Harmonium such a great band: they seem so unique, out of this world as Mista-Gordie said, and perhaps that's part of the attraction.
