Nudity - The Nightfeeders (2008)
Very nice extened psychedelic/space/kraut jam. Not sure if there are more records out there by them, but I don't think so - It's a bit difficult for me to obtain information about their discography.

Notes from the back-cover of The Nightfeeders:
Side A 21.30
The Nightfeeders
Recorded summer 2007 by Scott Swayze and Nudity at Moon Studios, Olympia.

Side B 21.40
The Nightfeeders (Concentrick mix)
Additionally recorded, performed, and remixed fall '007 by Tim Green at Louder Studios, San Francisco.

Nudity:
Dave, Quitty, Eryn, Grant.
Also with Kris Cunningham, Clea Partridge, Warren Lee, Tim Green, Mandy Taylor.

Sounds like neo-psych indeed, but I don't think it's of the progressive kind. More like The Black Angels than like Dungen IMO.

EDIT: great stuff BTW.

EDIT: disregard the first comment, that was before the second sample developed into a crazy, epic space jazm. I'll ask the Space/Psych team for the evaluation.

I've checked their Facebook samples ... "Elevate In Rotation" is heavy rock with less progressive elements, and the next "Nightfeeders (Edit)" is a spacey jam indeed.

At least for me, it's tough to judge only from the samples.
(Their MySpace page has already dead, anyway ... Dead )

Any more samples? Wink

Elevate in Rotation appears to be a non-album track.

The second sample on their FB-site, Nightfeeders (edit), is an edited 15 minute extract of side one of their only release, The Nightfeeders (2008), which essentially is a single running album-lenght - the only track being "The Nightfeeders". Side two is a 'remix', and here is the last 15 minutes of that side:
I don't know how it works, but since Elevate in Rotation isn't released on album, it probably shouldn't influence the decision which, I think, should be based solely on the album of which 30 minutes now are available to the decision-makers, that is 3/4 of their entire discography.

I'm generally very supicious and sceptical towards 'neo-psych' and other retro endeavours and don't know anything about Dugen or The Black Angels. But this record, I feel, has a ceratin timeless quality and Nudity deliver much more than the average retro psych band.

nice outfit..LOL

You are correct about the evaluation.

RE neo-psych, I strongly recommend you Dungen's Ta Det Lungt, it's a delicious album. You can hear it all on YouTube, here: http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=70026&PID=3774020#3774020
