Definitley worthy of a listing on the ol' PA.

Don't bother suggesting electronic artists who record after 1990 and who don't directly copy/tribute a classic prog electronic artist artist. They won't get added.

'To sum up things, the progressive electronic subgenre is dedicated to intricate, moving, cerebral, intrusive electronic experiences that get involved in "kosmische", dark ambient, (post) industrial, droning, surreal or impressionist soundscapes territories.'*
*Taken from the site itself, punk.

The prog electronic team doesn't make a habit of adding IDM, or any dance-related electronic music, regardless of complexity or innovation within electronic music.
So no Aphex Twin or Autechre, but golly Flying Lotus is a shoe-in! |

Hey, it's at least worth a shot. I would fully support his inclusion.

I would support his inclusion as well, although Cosmogramma still hasn't grown on me. ![]() |

The guy who chooses who is included or not just won't include artists unless they meet the requirements Stonie just posted.

Now that I got to listen to this, it's definitely not prog electronic, but a completely different beast. Thanks for exposing me to this Marco.

I personally wouldn't suggest them for progressive electronic on this site, although Cosmogramma is progressive and electronic it doesn't fit with the standard of progressive electronic artists. I would be for suggesting a new genre for this type of newer electronic progressive music, though (like how '70s symphonic prog differs from '80s neo-prog, but it still definitely prog.)

It might be a stretch, but someone should mention them to the JR/F team. I mean, that's where Squarepusher is

Fusion would probably be the best bet. Also, Madlib made some Brazilian style jazz-prog mixtapes that might be included along with Cosmogramma.

Yeap, I intend to give them more listens to see if that would be feasible. |
