A few glaring omissions from the first poll.  I had excluded live albums and EPs deliberately.

I had to go for Phillips.  But looking at the whole batch I put in there lots more good stuff. Big smile
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

I hid that one in the first poll under Parsons, The Alan, Project I Robot. LOL
Definitely my favorite one from the project.

Of the ones listed, Seconds Out. A great live album.
...a vigorous circular motion hitherto unknown to the people of this area, but destined
to take the place of the mud shark in your mythology...

From that list, i picked Gentle Giant-The Missing Piece-a lovely record

not mentioned on any list, or by anybody, is Wallenstein's No More Love, one of their very best, and should have been huge

The ELP - King Biscuit in my collection is a 2 disc set that includes some 1974 recordings as well as 1977 but I guess you have the single disc version.
Nothing in that list really excites me. Yes were already past their peak although GFTO is decent enough. Not a patch on their best though.

Encore is almost the weakest Tangerine Dream live album I've heard.

Seconds Out is not as good as Three Sides Live imo.Cracking version of Dance On A Volcano/Los Endos though.

Not that familiar with the rest. So far my Gentle Giant collection only extends to music they recorded up to and inc Freehand.

Jazz rock usually bores me rigid although I do actually like Colosseum II who could have made the list as they released the excellent Electric Savage in 1977. Oh well never mind.Smile

I thought the only version of ELP was a two biscuit set.  The Missing Piece is a, you know piece, missing from your collection then.

I prefer Wardance but I have them both on album anyway, Wardance fully signed as it happens.

I love Wardance just as much as Electric Savage, but find the first album Strange New Flesh a little weak, and i have never caught on to it
