I told Edgar Froese/Tangerine Dream management that I would help get the word out for the upcoming Tangerine Dream concert and new albums. Taken from the official Tangerine Dream website

TANGERINE DREAM PERFORMING IN MANCHESTER
“The Gate Of Saturn”
DATE: Saturday, 28th May 2011
TIME: 7.30 pm
WHERE: THE LOWRY

TicketsTICKETS FOR MANCHESTER CONCERT

TANGERINE DREAM performing at THE LOWRY in MANCHESTER on 28th May 2011 – yes, this rumour is true!
We are pleased to finally announce this concert today – you probably will remember that we will only announce a concert when contracts are finalized, this is our way to accept responsibility for our fans.

We are very pleased to play in that amazing hall and to meet hopefully TD friends from all over Great Britain – Glasgow, Liverpool, Sheffield, Birmingham, even London and Edinburgh are not too far away…..

Tickets can be ordered from now on in a registered area on the Lowry website (Click on ‘Priority Booking’). But The Lowry promised to open their public web box office from the 3rd March on.

Also, the new "The Angel of the West Window" and "The Gates of Saturn" albums are soon to be released, the latter of which will be released the same day as the concert at The Lowry.

They can be ordered here

I would only get excited if a: they toured the USA and b: if it were Froese,Franke and Baumann touring together again.I still have fond memories of them playing the Santa Monica civic and The Greek Theater in the 70's.

I've got an interview with Edgar Froese coming up soon. He just wanted to finish the concert before he replied.

So you remember the trees being on fire behind us ...

Yeah ... those were both very nice concerts and I love both of them dearly and wish I had a good recording of everything they played ...

Sadly, I think that Edgar is getting too old to take on large tours and do more places ... and here in the Pacific Northwest I doubt we will ever see TD again ... or even San Francisco or even LA. The logistics are getting ridiculous and too many of these venues only have cheap rock'n'roll equipment that would kill a TD thing in 3 minutes ... and on top of it, in the West Coast, these folks don't know what a keyboard is and how to present it ... and all music is drums and overly loud guitar ... with an occasion bass note or so. Keybopards? ...

Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!
