Anyone else noticed the similarity in the prominent basslines in the two tracks Where Solittude Remains (Anekdoten) and De Futura (Magma)?

Sounds pretty similar to me.

Got to wait for about 20 seconds into De Futura.

I do anyway. Smile

Yes the whole song sound like Anekdoten, I don't like Magma but i adore Anekdoten. Maybe i am missing something with magma. What  album should i get first that is not to difficult to get in too and that her's similar to Anekdoten.

Before Magma created the Zeuhl subgenre, the first two albums were more accessible. However I started from the third and probably I took just a bit more to get into them. Avoid "Merci"

Didn't Anekdoten start out as a Magma (and VDGG, KC) cover band?
And that's from their debut. No wonder there are similarities.
Thanks !! Your topics always so good and informative. I like you talk.

I don't think that there are similarities. Also, Where solitude remains is a great song.

I have listened with Music Me their cd's (the third one and the last one) and confirms what i have been thinking through the years. Magma is not my cup of tea! although i could like some songs like the one post here.

That song is very obviously Magma-inspired, with the bass groove and sound. King Crimson and Magma were their biggest influences I think.
