Finally! After their all-too-long hiatus, Godspeed You! Black Emperor came back together to tour once again and now as soon as there tour winds down to it's end in July, a new album will start being in the making!
Not many details as of yet but I can't help but be excited.

I previously stated that I don't like GY!BE because they are boring, but I've changed my mind. Out of all of the post-rock bands, they're probably the most interesting. If they release a new album then I'll probably check it out.

I've never been particularly taken by any of their post-Skinny Fists material, as they seemed to be sticking to a pretty rigid formula by that point. Hopefully anything new by them will be a real progression of their sound rather than simply more of the same.

They really are working on new material, I recorded this two nights ago at the venue in Rouyn-Noranda, Québec. I'm pretty sure it's a new song (not Albanian or Gamelan and not on any of the 4 studio albums for sure).
