Anything that begins with 
HELLO MY DEAR 
has to be suspicious. 

Some years back I received a letter in the mail stating I could be involved in a secret money raising scheme involving overseas clientele who had died and left millions of dollars behind and i was the lucky one who inherited this money.
I checked it on Snopes and of course it was a worldwide fraud. I gave the letter to the police and they told me they had received many such letters and of course told me to have nothing to do with them. Never heard from them again.
