Metallica and Lou Reed have apparently recorded an album. Yeah I'm just as shocked and confused as you are.

A few months ago our own Kirk Hammett hinted at a new Metallica project that’s ‘not really 100 percent a Metallica record.’ While Kirk may have jumped the gun a little (and has since been properly punished with a series of push-ups!), we are more than proud to announce that we have just completed recording a full length album that is a collaboration with none other than the legendary Lou Reed.

Interesting.

Why is it shocking, both are rock stars.
If you told me that the Kuijken Brothers will play with Morbid Angel, I would find it odd...

So is it Metallica album, featuring Lou Reed, or is it Lou Reed with Metallica as the backing band??

Just record a friggin Christmas album and then move to a retirement village you has-beens. And get off my lawn.
You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

Certainly a major step DOWN for lou reed.  I personally cannot stand metallica with its' "i just learned to play guitar" riffs.  Yawn!  Sleepy
