I really feel a need to spread the love for this band, I've gotten some to listen to them but not enough, I'm afraid.

They are a truly great post-rock outfit worthy of praise like no other but they aren't very well known on this site.

This is my attempt to make them more well know, here is a link to their bandcamp page where you can get their most recent album for free (donations are appreciated though) and please, take the time to listen:

I'm sure the band will welcome any opinions, thanks in advance. Thumbs Up

My review of the free s/t album:

What is it about post-rock that causes bands to compete for the worst names possible? Extreme metal does that too. Must be something about the amplifiers.

Anyway, that's not bad, although it's a little too generic post-rock for my taste.

ts kinda like one of those death metal band names...due to the name, I doubt I will ever give it a listen. Although I am glad others are enjoying it.

The s/t has some absolutely killer tracks, particularly Our Door Handles Stopped Moving Years Ago, and they're an all round awesome band. Highly recommended.

No, a death-metal band would be called "Anal Amputation", "Autopsy of a Whore", "Corpsecrusher" or "Nailing Jesus on the Cross", not "I've Seen the College Pictures Of James Hetfield And They Are Hilarious".

As an old timer myself and not totally clued into the new generation, I get the feeling that the post rock genre is a product of this Y generation. Or the "irony generation" as it is also being labelled as. This generation questions and then discard the old truths I believe in. So post rock is a kick up the backside of us born in the 1960s. Our generation created bands like Suffocation, Carcass, Autopsy, Anal Blast and Cannibal Corpse.  That was our humour. The Y generation's humour is different though and more in line with the traumas of being sent as soldiers to Iraq and Afghanistan. The Y generation is therefore also a war generation like the ones that grew up during the Vietnam war. Check out a band like Blow Up Hollywood for example. Youth Pictures Of Florence Henderson too is a product of these new wars although they are from beyond the polar circle in Norway.

.........A member of the Y generation would never have written such a long winded piece like I have written here too.... Ouch
