I seem to have made it my destiny to give little-known (but amazing, nonetheless) post-rock bands some good recognition.

The Monroe Transfer is a band with a sound that is a big cacophony of intense beauty but they never delve so deep into it that you forget where you are. The band is extremely talented and their string playing is just stirringly graceful with a little edge to it.

Most of their music is name your price on bandcamp but once again, donations are appreciated.

I'm sure the band would love to hear comments are their music, good or bad, and would especially love it if you listened to them.

Personally, I enjoy them greatly, they use their influences very well and create their own unique sound which is downright enchanting.

Here is the link to their bandcamp: http://themonroetransfer.bandcamp.com/album/trials

Most everything there is great, especially Trials, I dreamt I was a hammer and everything was glass and the Coffee, Sex, You soundtrack.

I listened to these guys when Alex posted htem in the free post rock thread last year, I actually really dug them and meant to buy one of their albums but forgot. I'll have to do that in the near future.
