I mean 66 albums, not just songs.

Pink Floyd
Mahavishnu Orchestra
Zappa
Zach Hill (solo and "sideman" albums, because he's hardly a "sideman" on anything)
Soft Machine

If we're counting the Beatles, they win by a long shot; even though the early stuff was progressive for it's time, you wouldn't call Meet the Beatles "prog-rock".

Top 3 would be Miles Davis, King Crimson & Tangerine Dream in that order.

PF's only at the top because of The Wall.

Opeth by far. I have multiple copies of every one of their albums, including some of their EPs, and singles, on vinyl and CD, and most on cassette. I used to be an insane collector of their stuff.

I have everything Kansas and all their derivatives ever released including Proto-Kaw, solos, AD, Streets, Native Window, the Sign, bootlegs, studio outtakes/demos, even some really old White Clover stuff.

I don't have the two Steinhardt-Moon albums and the Kansas 'From the Front Row Live' audio DVD thoug.  The Steinhardt-Moon stuff is just too expensive to justify, and as for the other one an audio DVD is just a stupid idea (besides, that concert has been reissued on at least five CDs and I have all of them).

Plus a poster signed by Steinhardt and a drumstick signed by Phil Ehart. Big smile

I have more Coltrane albums than anyone else, about 30 of them... I lost count.
As for prog rock, the little-known Aquarium wins at 19 CD's.
The runner-ups are Miles Davis (15), Dream Theater (12) and Jethro Tull (12).

Clap Just got my copy of The Wake 25th Anniversary Edition, and I love their last five albums Thumbs Up

The artist I know most about would be Steve Wilson. I used to be very deep into Pink Floyd, but I never clicked with their early stuff. Also, when it comes to Steve Wilson, there is just so much to know, I'm still working my way through his discography. I've got most of the Porcupine Tree DVD-As and Bass Communion LPs, the Deluxe books of both solo albums and some a few other things; the Insurgentes Documentary, No-Man DVD-As, some Porcupine Tree CDs and EPs, etc. As I go deeper into each project, I'm also going to start enjoying the I.E.M. MP3s I recently got. Looking forward to Storm Corrosion too!! I still don't have his King Crimson mixes, but that's on the list as well  Big smile

I'm also getting deeper into Toby Driver. I adore maudlin of the Well and Tartar Lamb II. His solo album is amazingly creepy, l Iove it!! I'm still slowly introducing myself to Kayo Dot though.
