I became a member because of the fully funded pension plan that was being offered. The company car is also a pretty good benefit.......

Very worth it. I've always loved "prog" and never really had a place to go to learn more about it, find new music and have a place to talk about it with others with the same passion. It's been great for all of the above.

It has been just great to be a  part of such a large community- but like someone said before,  i really am here to impart knowledge, not to gain it
It is great how no matter what is your fancy in music, however well known or obscure, new or old, there is someone out there who will take an interest, and that you get a feeling you are really connecting with people, and that is important to me with music
i find it difficult to connect my music with family members and most of my friends, but with PA, there is a sense of belonging that i have developed that is really important to me, and will continue to be-thank you ,people!

It is worth it and also an incredible consumer of time.

PA give me back my life!!!!

I've discovered new to me artists, given recommendations, added missing albums, approved controversial artists for addition, received good recommendations, received an occasional freebie, etc.

Also lots of fun to have discourse with people from around the world I'd never have run into otherwise.

Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

I most certainly found a lot of good music here, though I don't post often.  Not to mention that before I knew this site existed everything on google links you to it, wikipedia is practically prog archive's bios rephrased half of the time.
Which of you to gain me, tell, will risk uncertain pains of hell?
I will not forgive you if you will not take the chance.

It's nice to be able to talk about music that literally nobody you see during the day has even heard of. I've actually discovered many of my favorite bands from this site too.  All the people are bad-looking but they're nice enough.  Smile
