I will have to write a few. I am huge industrial fan. Contrary to popular opinion, The Second Annual Report is their best album.

But you reviewed the Third Annual Report. Tongue FYI, there are a lot of albums missing from their discography, you know.

Yea, I know I got confused with Third and Second, and yeah I was going to wait and see if Phillipe got around to adding any more. Tg were added yesterday but he did not add any other albums after Second until today

I just posted my review of 20 Jazz Funk Greats. I'll get around to doing them all eventually.

So now I assume you'll be adding Coil, Psychic TV, Nurse With Wound, Foetus, Cabaret Voltaire, Einstürzende Neubauten, Skinny Puppy, SPK, Laibach and Current 93?

I seriously doubt Phillippe will let most of those bands in mainly because TG started the whole movement and is a lot more prog.

Nurse With Wound should be here I think, and I have suggested Current 93 for Prog Folk, but Clem will not reply to my inquiry on how the suggestion is going. Angry

I also have nothing to do with adding bands if you are aiming that question at me.Wink

This is really strange. I wonder how people will react to this? Have most people heard "Journey Through A Body?" or "In the Shadow of the Sun?" They truly produced some disturbing images like car accidents and the disturbing interview tapes with psycho killers that were spliced into their white noise. What I found really strange about them is present on "In the Shadow of the Sun" where they produce the actual sound of a Satan cult chanting and crying from a distance. It's pretty close to how one would sound if you were walking through a field at night and they are chanting to a ritual on the other side of the woods. I've never heard anyone imitate something so real. Not Jacula or Univers Zero on Heresie. So how did T.G. know? If anyone on P.A. has listened to "Heathen Earth" and can identify the conversation between Cosey Fanni Tutti and one of the members....I would greatly appreciate an explanation as to what they are conversing about. I believe she is approached by a pervert who wants to pay her for sex. The little skit is very strange though and has an undertone to it. It makes you wonder if they are trying to leave an impression on the listener's mind about  danger. They were very strange in that way. They tried to scare you with songs about  criminally insane people in the real world. Ironically they were also very comical. But you wouldn't want to have their music in your head as you walked a city street alone at night. lol

Wow, this is quite a surprise! I'm a fan. They make music more evil than any metal band could ever hope to be. They certainly were innovative, creative, and original, but I definitely wouldn't name them or think of them when listing prog bands! The Beach Boys are next?

And I'm actually VERY surprised that TG are here but NOT Coil. I definitely think that Coil fall a bit more into prog rock than TG do.

Since some people are fans....can anyone tell me what it was I heard?

Years ago someone played me a song by Throbbing Gristle and it sounded like someone being interviewed, about mailing pornography, while over weird noises. That was pretty much the whole thing LOL

I can't believe this! It was the very first thing I heard from them in a record shop. I collected everything from T.G. and never found this particular recording. The conversation between man and woman off "Heathen Earth" is somewhat like it , but no.....this one was different.

I'll never understand why Merzbow isn't in Progressive Electronic.

I might review 1930 if it was added.
