Wow, this album is strange. I know thats probably looked at as an understatement. But, all in all i think this is a really good album. I enjoy that bizarre avant-garde sound, and if any album has it, this is it.

So I would like to know your opinions on this work. (I already know how you feel greenback ). And what other albums out there are similar to this. (By that i mean, strange noises, overall avant-gaude sound.) Thank you.

It's a strange album, no doubt about it. With very melodic songs like 'My Guitar..' and 'Oh No', mixed with real weird songs like '..Gas Mask' and the title track : it is certainly a true mishmash of different musical styles. Personally I love it.

This and Burnt Weeny Sandwich are my favorite MOI albums. I actually don't think they're strange at all. Extremely difficult, but not strange, IMO.

I never got this one. It sounds to me like they let a bunch of young kids just bang on the intstruments randomly. there is no structural intregrity and I fail to see the musicianship to this dreadful nightmare of an lp. Perhaps I am just not THAT progressive.

RZZZZTTT!!!  I love Weasels.  If you think about it, the album covers so much of Frank's ground.  The album is kind of like an amalgamation of each early Mothers' sound.  Oh No is fantastic by the way.

Really good album, but not my favorite. It's probably Zappa's weirdest album along with Uncle Meat and Lumpy Gravy! 8/10

Probably my favorite Zappa album!
There's a few bands out there that seem to have made careers sounding like one track or another on this album.

(or Freak out, Absolutly Free, Only in it for the money, Hot Rats, Uncle Meat,  Burnt weeny sandwhich, the Grand wazoo, etc)

I like it lots! I think the melodic parts create powerful contrasts to the electronic fre jazz, which sometimes resembles 72-74 KING CRIMSON with fuzz basses and such.
