That sounded amazing, I'm really excited for this album now, sounds like its going to be similar but with a very distinct feel to it, cant wait!

BTW, I loved the animations early in that video.

Thanks Andrew. The animation is from a Russian animated film called The Glass Harmonica - pretty cool stuff, obviously inspired by artists like Delvaux, Ernst and Magritte. In other words, it looks proggy ;-)

seems like you're getting my money again, guys!

glad you bring back Sylvia. she's got such nice voice and i really like Storm Season. Tim sounds good too.  only complain is this album seems a bit too bright for WW. is that the final mix yet?

Terry - good to hear! :-)
Do you mean bright musically, or sonically? It's pretty much the final mix, but of course degraded by mp3 and youtube compression. It's actually, sonically speaking, a much darker-toned album than the previous, but it could be that these selections don't showcase that. We've gone for a murky, analog sound :-)

The start of the video says its Terminal Twilight and out on October 11th and I'd guess the opening pic is a close up of the cover artwork, though I havnt seen any mention of track listings.

In case you hadn't heard, today was the release of White Willow's brand new album "Terminal Twilight".

The whole album is streaming for a limited time over at AOL Music: http://music.aol.com/new-releases-full-cds#/27

If you like what you hear, order it here: http://termo.myshopify.com/collections/frontpage/products/cd-white-willow-terminal-twilight

And if you need further convincing, here's what some folks have said about the album:

"Terminal Twilight is an album of amazing diversity, oustanding musicianship and stunning vocal work." - Musical Discoveries

"A gorgeous, haunting album" - MSN Entertainment

"A haunting beauty" - Absolute Zero Media

"full of beautiful vocal melodies, superb instrumental parts, great sounds, glorious tunes, loads of fascinating diversions, enchanting acoustic forays, and bursts of powerful rocking." 9/10, - Ravenheart Music

"Stunningly beautiful, almost heart-achingly so, Terminal Twilight unfolds and reveals itself like a painting that shows more and more with each viewing. White Willow may very well have delivered an album that stands next to Leprous' Bilateral as my Album of the Year." - Bloody Disgusting (never mind the name, it's THE site for horror movie reviews that also has a music section...)

"This is a band that oozes style and this is an album that is rather classy to say the least, seeing the band play with some very interesting themes and musical soundstages. The band has managed to capture an endearing soundstage that is captivating; musically poetic and full of atmosphere." - Sea of Tranquility

"White Willow's Terminal Twilight is a treatise in adventurous music, prog meets art rock meets orchestral and electronics in a perplexing and intriguing milieu. This is certainly not for the faint of heart or those stumbling over the next fluffy, sugar-coated, current music trend." - Dangerdog Music Reviews

"one of the most beautifully composed and yet perplexingly complex albums of 2011" - Infernal Masquerade

Cheers,
Jacob

I was rather surprised to see this on the "new releases" rack at my local CD store!  Not previously familiar with the band, but it seemed too good to pass up.  Have listened to it only once, and at work so I wasn't focused on it.  Seemed nice, but nothing particular special (sorry!).  Of course I'll have to listen to it more to have a really good feel for it.

To each his own, of course. But give it some time - White Willow albums are known to be growers and a bit of an acquired taste, especially if it's your first exposure. :-)

I definitely wouldn't judge this album (or any album actually) with an inattentive listen.
Much like Sacrament took me some time to get into, back when I discovered White Willow, this one as well takes time to unfold its hidden beauty and appeal.
Now that I've listened to it several times (not enough yet for a review, but it will come), it has won me over. Gorgeous, more adventurous than previous albums, and to me their best yet (I hate that cliche, but it's true in this case).

For those interested, here's an interview I did with Mr. Holm-Lupo:
