Cinema Show. Wish it was 23 minutes and Supper's Ready was only eleven.
Okay maybe thirteen, but only because I consider Aisle of Plenty part of Cinema Show, which makes it that much better. Edited by hobocamp - August 20 2011 at 11:50 |

Very difficult to decide, because both, in different ways, define all that was great about the band in that period. I'll go for Supper's Ready, if only for the hair raising conclusion.

It has to be imo Suppers Ready! It offers such variance and style. Not my favourite track admitedly but when I first heard it all those years ago, it just seemed such a tour de force!

..And it's hello babe with your guardian eyes so blue
Supper's Ready will always win any Genesis poll for me 'cause my wife has the most beautiful blue eyes and when we were first going out we used to do it on a fur rug while this played in the background. Sorry TMI. |

Although Cinema Show was the first Genesis song I ever heard, and will forever love, Supper's Ready has the vote for me. All the different styles, with the amazing Apocalypse in 9/8 section, seal the deal.

Supper's Ready is the obvious choice here...Cinema Show is a great tune but this poll seems a bit mismatched! If You would have put it up against "Epping Forest" I would have to think twice ;)

The frog was a prince.
The prince was a brick. The brick was a egg. The egg was a bird. |

Cinema Show for me........It just gets more plays by me. Suppers Ready is almost a bit too epic for me.....which is a good thing.
Suppers Ready should have been its own album Side 1, then Side 2......Would have made Thick As A Brick look like a 45rpm single....

I have to go with Cinema Show. While I love Supper's Ready almost as much, Cinema Show, for some reason, does much more for me.
