Topic: Supertramp vs Queen Posted: August 24 2011 at 16:14 |
two debutes, two bands, two destenys and two different paths which would soon take them both to success. the batle of the pomp and the quirke, the whimsical and the bombastic, the naive against the boisterous 1970 1973

Without any doubt, Supertramp, it took years to me to get it but though quite different, a very good album

Woops, I voted for Supertramp thinking this poll was about the bands.
Please assassinate me.

Queen by far...it's still very raw and their sound hadn't fully developed but the songwriting is extremely good. "Liar" and "Great King Rat" are killer tunes!!!!

The poll ought to have a different title, I guess.

I usually do, honestly! It's just that, with a title such as "Supertramp vs Queen", you feel that it's so obvious what it's about that you just vote without even scrolling down.

Supertramp is a very good album. I play it regularly. Queen though is superb (if not their very best). Varied with some superb tracks; Liar, Great King Rat, Son and Daughter and not a weak track amongst the remainder. And Doing Alright is sublime. Crank it up!

Tough call. I like them both, but I don't *love* either one.
I'm going with Supertramp, because I can't think of any songs I'd skip. Unlike the Queen album, where I might pass on a song or two.
