Finally!
Big smile

I still think that Crossover is not the most appropriate category.  But really, I think that many bands are thrown in to Crossover simply because they don't seem to fall in any other category.  Supertramp is Crossover.  Tune is not.
But until there is a "miscellaneous prog" category of some sort I guess we'll have to live with it!

Great to hear that. Even I wasn't sure about their Crossover placement, I am glad they are here on PA.
There's a point where "avant-garde" and "experimental" becomes "terrible" and "pointless,"

^ Gentlemen you are assuming crossover have not accepted them. Our fifth member is away at present so please be patient, or maybe one of our existing voting members has a change of mind, evaluation wise. We are still assessing.......Thanks!

TBH, Post Rock Team would not to be burden with this band which is a great act and 100%Prog but not post rocky at all. Because they were rejected by Heavy and Crossover Team,  I think the Tune would be moved to the Eclectic Team for that final evaluation.

yam yam thank you for more Youtube samples, especialy for Cabin FeverWink

Svetonio gave us four samples from YouTube in his original post (which are also available on the band's myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/tunelodz) - the only one he missed from the set of 5 individual tracks that were uploaded there is the seventh track on the album, called "Cabin Fever", which you can listen to now:

This next sample is part two of a progressive rock broadcast on Radio Opole in Poland from earlier in the summer featuring an interview, and some tracks from the album. The first 6 minutes are in fact the second track off the album, called "Repose", which is another new track to us. The rest of the video is some talking in Polish, followed at the end by the track "Confused", which you have of course already heard:

This final sample is part two of another backstage interview with Adam Hajzer (I think!) for Radio Bogoria. The first piece of music on here by the band is about 4.47 minutes, and it's NOT "Dimensions", one of only two tracks of this length on the album - thus it is almost certainly track 5, called "Mip". The track which follows the talking bit in the middle to finish off the video is "Masquerade", which we've heard already:

Altogether then, we now have seven of the nine tracks on the album, which I would think is a reasonable selection for the band to be evaluated. I do have to agree with infocat regarding where they should be placed, but since that team already said 'no' we have to put our faith in the post-rock guys.

Fingers crossed!!  Big smile

Edit: The first 4.47 minutes of the last sample above is DEFINITELY track 5, "Mip". I checked it against the short samples on Amazon & emusic.

I have the entire album.  They are not post-rock.  Heavy prog is probably the best fit (even though only parts are heavy), though I still think they'd work in Eclectic.  I'd rather not see them in crossover as it implies (to me) too much of a pop side.

Do you need more samples?  I've been in contact with the band, and I bet (just a hunch!) that they'd be willing to get the proper people the entire album.  I also mentioned Bandcamp to them.  Seemed interested, but I don't know what they'll do in that regard.

You can buy an MP3 download on Amazon:

You can listen to some short samples of each song as well, though it really doesn't do them justice.

Please add this band to PA somewhere!  (Yes, I am in love with them!Tongue)

As long as the band find a home here somewhere, then I think the outcome will be acceptable to everyone. I just hope that if the move goes ahead, the post rock team don't also end up with a "hung vote" situation. At least there are only three of them in that team, which may simplify things somewhat, I suppose. Crossover was never really the right place for them in any case imho - they are a difficult act to categorise for sure, so I guess this was always going to be tough nut to crack.

^ And what about Warthur's MOVE (to Post-Rock) vote ? To be honest, this thought has crossed my mind, so I am changing my vote to more appropriate, MOVE. My NO vote for Crossover still stands.
