"Anonymous 2" by Focus - based on something?

In and out of Focus. · Focus III.

   This has been bugging me for a while, and I can't seem to track down an answer. I'm pretty sure the main theme in "Anonymous 2" is based on a Middle Ages folk dance, but I only have a passing acquaintance with that period in music, not enough to have any idea what it is, and any attempts to find out via Google just turn up general information on Focus III. Anybody have any idea if I'm right on this, and what the song in question is?

(The tune also makes an appearance in Final Fantasy VII at the start of the play in Gold Saucer, but given Nobuo Uematsu's musical tendencies and inspirations, I'm giving even odds on it sharing a common source with or simply being based directly on "Anonymous 2" ;D)

	Good question. I don't know but it's a fantastic instrumental.

	I rather think that the main theme of "Anonymous Two" is based on the main theme of "Anonymous" off In and out of Focus.
