Italian math rock band with a ridiculous name. Recently added to this year's RIO fest line-up. Myspace.

They shouldn't be added simply because no one can remember that name. LOLWink

agreed for Math, but if Avant are gonna want them, someone from that team should check the myspace or -

though partly Avant - a la Upsilon Acrux - they sound predominantly Mathrock to me

Their project name is too long for Avant ... cannot input in my bad brain. LOL

Jokin' aside, no problem you can take'em, David. Cool

Read it: "Dispositivo per il Lancio Obliquo di una Sferetta" (Device for the Oblique Launching of a small sphere).

Let's call the DPILODUS, it will be easier to remind them.

And there's nothing wrong with that. Approve

I like the name but they should've kept the spaces.

Quite the contrary: it's typically Italian.
Remember : PFM = Premata Forneria Marconi ; Il Balletto di Bronzo ; Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, Il Bacio della Medusa...
It seems that Italian bands just love long band names.

But the English translation and the fact that the name has no spaces does scream hipster. LOL

PFM, Banco, Bacio, etc aren't very long compared to that monster Tongue

And also they can be seen as "normal" band names (in English). This one is not.

I won't argue about that, especially since I've heard about French bands such as :
 - Les Lapins Bleus des Îles (Blue Islands Rabbits),
 - Le Grand Nébuleux et ses Laveurs de Conscience (the Great Nebulous and his Conscience Washers),
 - A 3 Dans les WC (Three in the Toilets),
 - Au Fond du Couloir A Gauche (On the Left at the End of the Corridor)
 - Deficit Des Années Antérieures (Deficit of the Previous Years)...

Nevermind, I already planned to see them live in Paris, on the 22 of September, opening for Sax Ruins / Ruins Alone / Ono Ryoko.
It should be a R.I.O.T.
