Looks like all the samples on MySpace are just short excerpts. Any other place with full samples?

The band sounds interesting, I sense potential.

This band are included on the sister site Metalmusicarchives.com: http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/vargton-projekt.aspx?ac=vargton projekt, where there is a review of the ProgXpriMetal album by "Time Signature". Maybe the appropriate person can be contacted via p.m. to obtain the samples used for evaluation on that site? The album was also added by Time Signature one month ago to Progreak.com: http://progfreak.com/Vargton-Projekt-ProgXpriMetal-147447.html and his review is also included there. It is not as yet included in the PA section of that site, but there is no doubt whatsoever in my mind that this is prog - which particular genre though I wouldn't like to say, since it isn't all plain prog metal by any stretch of the imagination. I'm sure this band will easily meet the critera for inclusion on Progarchives once access to something to listen to has been obtained, but the album is an 18-track monster...with a lot of stylistic variation along the way.

Yes, I agreed.
Influenced by music of Frank Zappa, with alot of stylistic variation along the way as you said aswell, this band is something more than an ordinary metal band.

Another very positive review of the album here: http://www.powerofmetal.dk/reviews11/vargton_project_review.htm. This album took quite some time to complete, and has several distinguished musicians contributing to it. It's a shame that more full samples aren't available - I only found this one so far, the track Jaipur on Soundcloud: http://soundcloud.com/lionmusicrecordlabel/vargton-projekt-jaipur

I got the album eventually, I'll give it a listen these days and pass on the suggestion to the genre teams. Yam yam, thanks for your contributions in this section. Thumbs Up

Listening to the album now, the music is heavy enough to warrant evaluation from the Heavy Prog Team.

Too bad they sing. They don't do it very well and it damages the instrumental side, which is fantastic.

If you're struggling Karl, heve a look here: http://www.lionmusic.com/cd/progxprimetal.htm - should be sufficient info for a decent enough bio I would think. Thumbs Up

Thanks! I had found similar info from a review but the original source is better of course.

Added for Heavy Prog
