As you must know, Focus has some great short tracks and some awesome epics, let's go with the long ones first (Around 10 minutes or more).

Iván

PS: Had to think a lot between ERUPTION and HAMBURGER CONCERTO, wen¿t with the second by a slight margin.

Even though I prefer Focus 3 a lot more than Moving Waves, I'm going to with Eruption.

Eruption is the crowning glory of Moving Waves, which is clearly their best album.

The Hamburger Concerto suite, although Eruption is good too.

Although there are quite some fine moments on Eruption, I think Hamburger Concerto is less fragmentary, better produced and builds the tension up towards a real climax, which is great stuff.

Bump

If the longs are again at the the Forum, lets give a chance to The Long ones

Even when it's a contest between two tracks.

Still haven't changed my vote, Hamburger Concerto is simply brilliant, I got it in the DVD "Masters from the Vault" and it's awesome.

I love this band - saw them at the Rainbow in Finsbury Park, London on 26th May 1974, and never looked back! They still put on a decent show, even now - and play plenty of them too, for a bunch of old 'uns!
Hamburger Concerto is the best of the longs for me, but for anyone who is still undecided:

(^ There is a full 26 minute version of this track, all in one tube, but the audio level is very low, so I used these two instead)

Sorry - you're gonna have to put up with the whole album for this next one!:

Focus (Instrumental) wasn't quite 10 minutes long, but just for completeness:

And this doesn't qualify at all as a long, but I just HAD to include it...

There - that should pass away a happy hour or two...!!  Big smile
