Don't you just hate it when that happens - I could have bought it yesterday in our local supermarket, but no, impatient little me has to pre-order it - and has it arrived? Has it Censored! Angry
Oh chill.  Mine isn't due in until today.  I'd be highly surprised to find it stock at any local retailer other than my local b&m which is too far out of the way for a weekday.  Still, it better get here or I'm gonna be all. AngryCensored

Thanks to Amazon pre-orders no doubt, it charted at No.20 in the UK and is available in all leading supermarkets. Ouch

But I'm chill - I just thought of another word for snow.
What?

If one preorders a CD, you need to wait from the release date until it is delivered...and it is usually only about £1 cheaper. With books though they arrive at your door on the release date. This is because thay have them in stock a while before so can send them to coincide with the day of release. I presume it is not so with music.

Good and very interesting interview with Kate Bush on Radio 2's Front Row just now - hints of another album in the making.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b017cfkz ... the programme will be available for download shortly (UK only I guess).

Just had my first listen. I was prepared to be disappointed but thankfully I'm not. The duet with Elton is wonderfull. The album starts off with something that reminded me a bit of Infant Kiss and keeps that mood going. All rather lovely.

Yeah, after hearing "Wild Man" I didn't expect to be blown away. But the album is really good. I'm not that impressed with the first track, and I do still think "Wild Man" could have been dropped, but the rest of the album is very good. One of the best I've heard this year, and probably my favorite since The Sensual World.

I'm really feeling for you! But I admire your patience, fraught as it maybe. If it all gets to much, you can download it from iTunes. I did and now I am aiming to go out and buy the "hard copy" as soon as possible. Hope the album is in the very next mail Smile

It didn't come today either.  I do get a $1.00 refund due to pre-order price protection.

It got really cold and almost snowed this morning.

The title track is a little silly but I'm not complaining.  I am a bit overwhelmed by the amount of good new music that came out this year.  I'm glad Kate didn't put it off for another year.  I will resist the temptation to get too fan boy about it.  It's certainly a nice album.

It's kind of funny.  Finnforest is on the record as being a big fan of her first albums which I am not enthusiastic about, so I guess that's a fair gauge.  It's another fine album but can't match the beautiful weirdness of The Dreaming.  I'm more partial to her later stuff.

Nice little interview . I didn't know she was a big fan of Steely Dan and of the albums Aja and Gaucho especially. She also loves Billie Holiday. Jamie didn't bother asking her about live performing (well we know the answer anyway).

It was snowing in Colorado, the day it arrived from Amazon. It is a grower, play it a little initially as the moods unfold. " Snowed In at Wheeler Street" just gets better and better.....goosebumps after listening to Dean's Radio 2 interview link. I am convinced she is a genius and madrigal witch!Hug her art evolves in such a beautiful direction.

Its definetly a curl up next to the fire with a mug of cocoa album.  The song 50 words for snow just on its own will keep me entertained for the whole of the winter. Sorbet Deluge indeedSmile
