Metal Mind Productions is proud to announce the release of the third studio album by the Polish progressive rock band After.... The album entitled "No Attachments" will be out on the 21st of November in Europe and on the 6th of December in the US.

The band After... was formed in 2002 in Wloclawek. In November 2005, they released their debut album "Endless Lunatic", featuring guest appearances by Colin Bass (Camel), Józef Skrzek (SBB) and Jacek Zasada (Quidam). To promote the album, the band played several concerts in Poland and Western Europe, sharing the stage, among others, with Fish, Quidam, Riverside, and Sylvan. The year 2008 marked a number of successes: in April, After... embarked on a tour with the British band Galahad and performed at the 3rd edition of Art-Rock Festival in Poznań (together with Galahad, Antimatter and Mangrove); in June, they played at the German Art-Rock festival in Reichenbach (together with Pallas, Spock's Beard, Mostly Autumn and Blind Ego). Also in June, that same year, their second studio album "Hideout" was released. The new album was very well received both in Poland and abroad - soon after the release it became one of the best-selling albums of the biggest German independent distribution company Just For Kicks Music; it also became the album of the month (December 2008) of the Brazilian web site Progressive Rock & Progressive Metal. In 2009, After... went on tour together with Quidam (Poland, Czech Republic, Germany and Holand). The same year, the band played at the Crescendo festival in France and InoRock festival in Inowroclaw (together with Steve Hackett Band, Nosound and Indukti). In 2010, keyboard player Tomek Wisniewki parted ways with the band and, with the line-up consisting of 5 musicians, After... started working on their next album. In January 2011, their first live album "Live at Home", was released.

The third studio album "No Attachments" marks the beginning of a new exciting era in the band's career. Not only will it be released by Metal Mind Productions, but it is also being produced in cooperation with the musicians of acclaimed British act The Pineapple Thief.

The band's guitarist Czarek Bregier explains how it came to this co-operation: "While working on the new album, we wanted to change something, give it a new and different sound. We wanted someone to look at our material from a different perspective. We decided to have the album mixed and mastered at a different studio, though we had no idea where that should be. We very much liked the production of the last Pineapple Thief album so we decided to contact the Audiomaster studio, where it had been recorded. It turned out that The Pineapple Thief's keyboard player Steve Kitch actually worked there, and so our cooperation started in a very natural way. The band's singer and guitarist Bruce Soord also started to work with us on those recordings, which certainly made the album's sound richer. Mastering will be handled by Steve Kitch and Mark Bowyer. Soon, you'll have a chance to listen to the results of our cooperation."

And today the band reveal the cover artwork and tracklist of “No Attachment”. The authors of the front cover are Rafał Paluszek and Wojtek Tymiński. The idea was conceived by Wojtek and it was carried out by Rafał.

Wojtek:  “We didn't want our album's cover to be dark and depressing. We were looking for an escape from mystic signs and hidden messages and at the same time we wanted the cover to feature something distinctive that we could associate with this album. I first thought of the idea for the cover when I saw some children playing in the yeard with paper aeroplanes. One boy was throwing the aeroplanes from a window and the others kept catching and throwing them back to him. I thought then that those planes could be symbolic of sending messages. Perhaps the artwork does not reflect the album's title in a straightforward fashion, still I hope it's not overly mysterious :) We also decided to include a couple of photos that bring positive thoughts to our minds in the booklet. That's why we  decided to use some photos made while we were on tour :) The booklet will also feature the band's photos by Joanna Lubicka.”

“No Attachments” – a brand new studio album by one of the best progressive rock bands from Poland, After… - will be released by  Metal Mind Productions on November, 21st (in US on December, 6th). And today you can listen to the first promo track “Enchanted” in THIS location.

Wojtek Tymiński: “It’s one of the quieter songs on the album. This was the last song written for the album. The idea came up in my head but I thought that this would be another piece left for the unknown future. At the beginning the track was circling between us in the version which I registered at home. That first version had probably more space but also less pulse. Radek  and Mariusz have added great rhythm section to my guitar idea and the song took on a completely different shape. I think this is one of the favorites pieces written by us.”

“No Attachments” – a brand new studio album by one of the best progressive rock bands from Poland, After… - will be released by  Metal Mind Productions in just over a week - on November, 21st (in US on December, 6th). And today you can listen to another promo track “All Left Behind” in THIS location.  http://soundcloud.com/metalmindproductions/after-all-left-behind

Wojtek Tymiński comments this track: “I think that ‘All Left Behind’ - which is a straight-to-the-point, energetic and probably the shortest song on this album - could be entitled ‘No Attachments’. When I presented the idea for that song during our rehearsal, we all immediately went for it. We felt some kind of energy in these several riffs and everything happened really quick after that - the music and the vocal line were completed during a single rehearsal and we didn't really change anything later on. We think that ‘All Left Behind’ has potential when it comes to performing it live - I hope we'll soon find out.”
