Topic: Slartibartfast's 10 September 2011 New Releases Posted: September 13 2011 at 19:02 |
Is it just me or is September an unusually busy month? Multiple votes of course. I'm not planning on all of these. I had to stop with the pre-orders after five. I'm keeping three open slots in case I'm missing something. Make suggestions and I'll fill them in if I'm interested. Just voted for the one's I've ordered so far.

Heritage and Dramatic Turn of Events are missing?
I'll be getting Swilson's work.

Heritage sounds like a good rock album (not really metal, no screaming, not quite metal-chunkiness in the guitars, etc) by Opeth. I'd assume DToE sounds like...Dream Theater. I'm interested in the Opeth, not in the Dream Theater. From the list, Primus.

What the heck was that for? I don't know everything. OK an Opeth and a Dream Theater. I haven't taken an interest in either of those artists. I added the OT because I have a lot of OT, but I'm not planning on adding any more. Which is not to slam any of those. I think I'll keep the first two out for the moment.

Already have the new Umphrey's McGee album, have pre-ordered the new Opeth album, and am a bit torn on whether or not I'll get the releases from Ozric Tentacles and Steven Wilson right away.

OK Opeth's in. Another nomination I'm interested in or a second to the Dream Theater and I'll add that.

I misunerstood the question and voted for Steve Hackett because I am a big fan of his, LTW (Lettuce, Tomato, on White Bread, perhaps?) because that sounds like it could be awesome, and Tori Amos because her newest sounds extremeley interesting, and could possibly be terrible or magnificent. I may not be getting these in the forseeable future, but they are certainly on my radar.

Hackett, Wilson, Ozrics, Opeth, LTW, and I'll be looking at that Zorn release as I didn't realize he had one coming out this month.

Also, I believe Wolves In The Throne Room's new album comes out in Sept and I'll be getting that as well.

From this list, Opeth, but I ordered Dream Theater too. And I'll probably check out Steven Wilson and Primus.

I'm not really interested in the DT, but they get the last slot.
