my favorite ELP music is the Pictures At An Exhibition live album from '71-there are more than five parts, though, so i guess i'll say the first five parts of that album

Yes I like Benny, sort of sounds like a punky Chas and Dave. And nearly as funny as the lyrics is that even on a throwaway track like this Emerson still has to show off how fast he can play!

^ Yep, the lyrics are an unbridled joy plus it contains one of the most thrilling piano solos in the history of popular music (Full stop)

They tried to stick together all the bits that would fit, but some of him was missing and part of him arrived too late
So now he works for Jesus as the bouncer at St Peter's Gate(ah)

I'm pleased someone picked Fanfare. It suffered a bit from the Smoke On The Water/Money syndrome of too much airplay on radio breading contempt but it is a unique track and Palmer never sounded or played better than on the studio version. Apparently they tried hard to improve on the first studio take but in the end settled on their initial performance with a few overdubs. It was a little bit of magic that was never to be repeated.
