O Istenem!

You say it's not IRIS album, but correct release date is on IRIS website. How shall I know that "the whole internet" has a wrong source and only IRIS website info is true?

Conclusion:
1. I asked admins to delete IRIS "Arrakeen" (http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=23233) as a duplication.
2. Question of ARRAKEEN "Patchwork" release date (1990 or 1991) is still open. I'll try to find album covers to see release date.

By the way, thanks for your efforts. Smile

I think I have explained the albums and and included the links to the PA pages too. And I have sent a link too to official Iris page, but here it is again, you can seen the exact date for Arrakeen Patchwork:

http://irismusic.free.fr/discoa.htm

On the whole internet the date is 1990 they all have a wrong source accordingly because the source I refer to here is official.

And I think Iris' Arrakeen should be deleted, but you decide, as I said.

Cheers,

OMG, it took time and time to get into your description. Confused
Please in future put yourself on a place of those who have no idea who these bands are.

As I understand, there are 2 points:
1. ARRAKEEN "Patchwork" (http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=3934) is not a studio album, but an EP and has been released in 1991, not in 1990.
- I'm not familiar with the band, but their site (it seems non-official) tells "ARRAKEEN : Patchwork (1990 - Studio Album)" (http://www.demeyer.net/Arrakeen-Iris/). Even if you are right we need some confirmations (links etc).

2. IRIS "Arrakeen" (http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=23233) is a duplication and should be deleted.
- I tend to agree. Should I ask admins to delete it?

Yes, I have forgotten the third one. so here it is. Check these two discographies:

http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=761

http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=167

you see that the first one belongs to the band Arrakeen and the second to the band Iris, which is Sylvain Gouvernaire's project, who was the guitarist of Arrakeen on Patchwork. That's still okay. But you see that Arrakeen's Patchwork (which is not a full length album but an ep by the way) is sorted under eps singles etc category of Iris's page too under the title of Arrakeen with the same cover, tracklist and line-up those of Arrakeen's Patchwork. I've thought that they could be the same album and the titles should be harmonized or Iris's Arrakeen album simply be omitted because it was released under the band name Arrakeen not by Iris. By the way, the Arrakeen's Patchwork was released 1991 not 1990 as the page indicates. It is also possible that Iris's Arrakeen was a demo just before band Arrakeen, which I doubt because I have found no trace of this at all on the whole Internet.

here is Iris's page:

http://irismusic.free.fr/discof.htm

So you decide. I've just wondered about these things.

Cheers,
Lynx33
