Sounds like a good case for Heavy Prog. But you know we can't evaluate them based on samples. :(

Someone will be taking care of this as soon as the album is officially released. As Alex said above, we can't do it based purely on the demo samples that have been posted from it so far (we can of course use the samples for the evaluation, but the finished album must also have been made available for public consumption too). "The Inner Journey" has only just had its cover art revealed, and will not actually be released until April 2012: http://www.metalexpressradio.com/menu.php?main=news&id=15692. Unfortunately we can't proceed with the evaluation until then. Unhappy

Well this has now been suggested again by ProgShine: http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=92312, so it's probably about time these guys were evaluated. Tongue Seems to me like a cross between Heavy Prog and Prog Metal - the keys are quite prominent in the mix in places, and the hard rock influences are very much in evidence too.
Interesting band, and I'm guessing there will be more than enough metal in this overall to make this a job for the blacksmiths rather than the heavy mob, but of course I could be guessing totally wrong! Embarrassed

Edit: A couple of recent additions from the album to YouTube (one official, and one not...):

Thumbs Up

^ No problem! Nice review on MMA btw. Smile

Anyway, a toss up between Metal and Heavy - will ask the PM team to check first.

Cleared in Heavy prog: http://progfreak.com/Imagery-155770.html?path=pa/recent. Heavy team have a fair bit on their plate at the moment though, so the addition may not happen overnight. If anyone familiar with the band wanted to submit a bio, either here in the thread, or by pm to  Andy Webb, then I'm sure this would speed things up...Especially if they also offered to add the album...! Tongue There is a fair bit of info on the facebook page (in English) or the myspace page (in Portuguese), but it would need condensing down and tidying up a bit I think...

Guys, I manage to do something on their bio, but I would like someone give it a look please :)

"
IMAGERY can be considered a new project of some experienced Brazilian musicians. The band was formed in 2008, but the musicians have a long and experienced career within the Brazilian rock/metal scene.
The band is formed by Joceir Bertoni (vocals and guitars), Ricardo Fanucchi (bass) Henrique Loureiro (keyboards) and Bruno Pamplona (vocal and drums).

The vocalist/guitarrist Joceir Bertoni and the bass player Ricardo Fanucchi are playing together for 10 years. Both were part of the famous Brazilian band G.A.F., which they recorded two CDs and played many important shows. Together they also founded Revoult, band that got a very good response from Brazilian press with its self-titled album released in 2007.Indeed, it was during Revoult days that the duo intensified its interest for the progressive music, forming the embryo of what would be IMAGERY.

IMAGERY’s proposal is to unite the single experience of each musician when developing a technical sound, but heavy, with references in different musical styles such as jazz, classical, Brazilian instrumental music, progressive rock and heavy metal. Among the quartet’s influences are names like Beatles, Pink Floyd, Yes, Genesis, Rush, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Gentle Giant, Jethro Tull, Kansas, Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth, Pantera, Dream Theater, Chick Corea, Hermeto Pascoal, Frederick Chopin, Hiromi Uehara, Franz Liszt and Bela Bartok.

Conceptually, the name IMAGERY reflects the band's quest for a musical image with identity and an introspective questioning in terms of lyrics.

IMAGERY's debut album, The Inner Journey, was recorded between 2011 and 2012 and was released in August 2012. The Inner Journey has 8 tracks and 43 minutes of pure Heavy Prog.

The band also opened one of the concerts Focus did in Brazil in March 2012.
"

I can also add the album as soon as the page is ready Smile

^  That seems just perfect to me. Approve

I'll drop a link to your post in the Heavy team thread, Andy should then see and read it, and with any luck he'll add them more or less immediately (with credit to you for the bio). If you then added the album as well, that would be tremendous. A fine example of what can be achieved by teamwork!  Thumbs Up
