Epsilon is currently in my mp3 reader with Irrlich. Timewind is not.

Epsilon for me. It was also greatly liked by David Bowie, apparently.
 
I can't remember precisely when, but I had heard both albums by about 1980 - I saw Tangerine Dream live for the first time on the Stratosfear tour and I was only just getting into them, but over the next couple of years I got anything I could find on the Virgin label that was German and featured synths.

Timewind I guess, but pretty close. Got Timewind around '87, Epsilon some 20 years later.
