I love this album, it is probably one of the best albums of the 70s, it is such a creative album that really shows Eltons artistic pallet, meybe even more so then the double album GYBR, to me every song on that album is perfect for the albums concept and story, the music is prestine annd the production is marvelous. Cover art is also detailed and colourfull

to me CFaBDC is to me atleast a masterpiece of Crossover progressive music, it is not symph progressive, but as an album it have all the qulification a crossover prog album have, the perfect mix of accesable and artistical merrit, whilte all the previous works were bunch of eclectic rock albums that spanned different musical ideas (to a great effect and success) it is on Captain Fantastic, Eltons sound is the most pressant, Eltons musical genius is laid out on a 10+ tracks album it  is a musical statement,

I truely recomend this album to those who have lost faith in Elton or are unfamiliar to his music. though this album is far from unfamos, i think Elton is often negelected as a musician, and composer/arranger

I am a fan of Elton as a musician not the as a diva, as a musician in the 70s he was among the finest, hes music is not innovative as such but his rich sound and wide scope and ambituous ideology about blues, his music is to me a lesson of wonderfull craft of songwriting and collaboration and Captain Fantastic and the Browin Dirt Cowboy is the prime example of that...

This was/is the best Elton John album in my opinion.
Less well known than GYBR but not a filler in sight.

This guy deserves a place in PA, his early works are pure art-pop/rock and we all know that art-pop/rock (or sophisto-rock like some people call it) belongs to prog rock.

Supertramp biography
A variant of progressive rock that some have called sophisto-rock. SUPERTRAMP is a sophisticated pop band that was able to continuously turn out very good songs.
