Tin Spirits is the band from UK. Earlier this year, they released a debut album CD Wired To Earth http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/leisure/music/reviews/8954928.Album_Review__Wired_To_Earth_by_Tin_Spirits/?ref=rss

Nice stuff Svetonio! Should stand a reasonable chance in crossover, I would think. Guitarist Dave Gregory was with the long-running legendary British band XTC for 19 years. That band released some fine albums, particularly during the 80s, and were discussed for inclusion on here several times, but were always rejected. Tin Spirits have many more live videos on YouTube.

Thank you yam yam.
For me, XTC always has been a prog rock act. Par exellence prog rock band!
There is no musical reason for XTC to be rejected. They were rejected because of some reason of course, but that reason can't be XTC's music.

'Band X is here, why isn't band Y here?' - this debate is frustrating ... Ouch
apart from that ... TIN SPIRITS are good indeed, not out of the box, they play sophisticated alternative pop rock.
Even when they are celebrating my favourite Rush song here I can't imagine though that our crossover team will accept them

You don't know but it doesn't change the things  - he is post punk -  he's miles above more punk rock than XTC, but extremly obscure act with one LP,  and he is in PA, why? that is that LOL
Nevermind! it's your biz to care about which act will pass this gate, not mine Cool

Always avoid to discuss with them but sometimes I love to say just a few words.

A beautiful XTC' song, isn't?

XTC, a Prog Rock band, were hiden behind  XTC as "new wave band" aswell, because of anti-ProgRock hysteria at that time. That's all.

I don't think it would do any harm at all for the Crossover boys to have an official listen to these guys. Embarrassed

Tin Spirits? Surely a no-brainer?

Excellent band, I've heard a track from the new album and it sounds really good, looking forward to the new album. They're supporting Pendragon and Lifesigns later in the year.

Totally agree Alan.  Thumbs Up

Surprised they didn't get an evaluation 1st time around, but the new album should seal it for them easily.

Really tight band, superb live - doing some really great covers as well as their own stuff.

Perhaps you could drop a note in the Crossover team thread for someone to come and check them out?  Embarrassed
