Someone should vote for 'The Seraphic Clockwork'. I missed it when voting. It's rather unappreciated for the masterpiece it is...

From the list, Gazpacho, but, in truth, David Minasian won 2010 hands down for me.

I went with the Pineapple Thief, a very strong album from start to finish. There were also great albums By Gazpacho, Spock's Beard, Anathema and Moon Safari. I found the Haken album the over-rated album in a long time

I voted CICCADA A Child in the Mirror though I like BROTHER APE's A Rare Moment of Insight, THE TEA CLUB's Rabbit and YUGEN's Iridule a little bit better.

Karnataka > Alcest = Frogg Café = Sky Architect > (...) >>>>>>> Kayo Dot. I don't know if it's clear enough that I hated their 2010's album.

I don't see how it's overrated at all.

Topographic Tales: I just could not get into the Haken album at all and I found the vocals annoying. Everybody was just so effusive about it so I listened to it and IMO it's nothing special. Certainly nothing to rave about.

Oceansize, followed by Spock's Beard. Other great pieces include Mick Magnus's solo and Carptree's Nymf.

I'm really surprised by obvious hegemony of Coyote because (judging by PA reviews) it's not a favourite at all. On the other hand, Aquarius, being obvious favourite, has totally failed. A moral: Never trust in PA reviews! Edited by Gandalff - October 17 2011 at 17:13 |
