They both are  great albums, but Visions is more completed and mature!

In my opinion Aquarius is original, fresh and excellent debut but Visions is only its rehash. Unfortunately, this is one of my biggest let-downs of this year so far. (Although I've liked it initially...)

I have to say Visions - then again, I wasn't as big on Aquarius as a lot of people were (I thought it showed a lot of promise but wasn't really going anywhere).  Visions, on the other hand, seems much more fully realized than its predecessor.

I'm not sure I can choose on this one. I listened to Aquarius for weeks when I discovered it and now I've been doing the same with Visions and I gotta say, I love them both the same but for different reasons.

Aquarius is proggier and more atmospheric, plus, I love the concept so it gets my vote. Visions is great, but was a tad rushed, so I think some of the subtler niceties of the first album were dropped as a necessity of haste.

One big positive: Visions lack any harsh vocals!

Where did the people voting here get the album then? It's due for release coming week - or did you all visit ProgPower USA last month????

I asked them for a copy of the demo, and they said I would review the new album if they let me 'borrow' a copy. Funnily enough, being nice chaps they actually did let me have a couple of songs. I was surprised!

There's like a minute of them in Aquarius. I find it verging on hilarious that people can get upset about it :')

Having listened to Visions now, I can say its definitely the better album. I think the shorter song format works for them better here with only two big epics rather than a hole album of them, its just so much more concise and coherant, a very good album.

I'm loving Visions, but I went with Aquarius for now because it sticks in my head more. Once I've listened to Visions for a few more weeks I'd be able to make a more informed decision.
