Now some of you may think this is an apples and oranges comparason but I think that two 7 part progressive rock suites can be compared with reasonable accuracy. Its more like gala apples and northern spies. Have at it.

I'll roll all the predictable responses into one: "This has been done before." "Jeez, don't you know how to use a search function??" "Why must we compare everything all the time. This is art. In my day, we didn't even use the word progressive!" "Where's Close To The Edge?" "Where's Other?" "Never post on the forum ever again." Don't shoot the messenger! |

In general I vote against Genesis, this time I don't. I can't say anything bad about this song.

I think 2112 is mediocre. Supper's Ready is better.

It saddened me to vote for Suppers Ready because 2112 is a giant to me - but then very little beats Suppers Ready.

Rush was my introduction to prog and 2112 was my first 20+ min. song. BUT, Suppers Ready has become my favorite song and is probably the greatest prog track ever.

Supper's Ready but I love 2112 also. It depends if I want a more metallic listening experience! or a more symphonic one! Supper's is special to me though as it is one of the first epics I heard

I refuse to vote because I am getting tired of seeing "Supper's Ready" polls.

Supper's Ready. This is like comparing a Moulin Touchais 1959 to a Graves Supérieures.
